Rally for Kaylee
A community field day of live music, raffles, kids' games, and food trucks — raising funds for Kaylee Machado and her family as she battles a rare bone cancer diagnosis.
Rallying around Kaylee, on and off the field
When one of our own is facing the toughest fight of her life, Shrewsbury shows up for her.
Kaylee is 11 years old. She plays softball, starts sixth grade this fall, and spends her free time trailing after her big sister Alexis and getting talked into things by her little brother Jackson. This month, everything changed — Kaylee was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, and her parents, Cynthia and Luke, are now facing a year of intensive treatment: hospital stays, constant appointments, and long drives, all while still caring for Alexis and Jackson at home.
Rally for Kaylee brings the whole town together for one afternoon — live music on the green, a raffle table stacked with local donations, a kids' zone bursting with games, and food trucks lined up for everyone to enjoy. Every dollar raised goes straight to Kaylee's family through helpkaylee.org, helping cover medical costs, travel to treatment, and everyday needs while they focus on her care.
